A SIMPLE DRESSING
Yield: 1 Servings

1/2 c Vinegar
1/4 c Oil
1/2 Lemon -- juice of
1 sm Onion -- minced
1/3 c Ketchup
2/3 c Sugar
1/2 ts Paprika
1 ts (scant) salt

Beat all ingredients together with a rotary beater or wire beater. Or
you can put it in a jar, cover and shake well. this is a fine
dressing to use on lettuce and fresh tomatoes. Many of the recipes in
this collection did not contain amounts or oven temperatures. I have

A SIMPLE POSSET (TLC)
Yield: 1 Servings

570 ml Full Cream Milk
250 ml Sweet Sherry
Soft Brown Sugar
1 Lemon, Sliced
1 ts Ground ginger
1 ts Grated nutmeg

1. Cut the lemon into slices and coat with sugar. 2. Boil the milk
and when it froths up add the sherry. 3. Strain out the curd and add
the lemon, ginger and nutmeg.

1 tb Olive oil
1 lg Onion; diced
1/2 Green bell pepper; chopped
3 cn Crushed tomatoes (28-oz ea.)
2 cn Dark red kidney beans
-- (40-oz each), drained
3 tb Chili powder (or to taste)
1 ts Salt
1 tb Sugar (optional)

Heat the oilve oil in a very large frying pan or Dutch
oven over medium heat. Saute the onions and pepper
until tender, about 5 to 7 minutes.

Add the remaining ingredients and bring the mixture to
a boil. Lower the heat and simmer, covered, for 1
hour.

Preparation time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 1 hour
